Any updates on the grand re-opening date for THE WILD ONION?

I don't if they are opening back up, but I miss that place terribly. Is it opening back up, is that what you had heard. I heard that Kip was cooking for a while at Sunset, but I never did have that confirmed. Someone also had said that he went back to England. I am not sure what is true and what is just rumor.

If anyone knows if that Wild Onion is opening back up please let me know. I will also ask around when I am down in TB in a couple weeks.

Building works/redecoration are almost finished at Wild Onion. When completed, Wild Onion will offer the following: a bar, a stage for live music with ample space for dancing, a games room with pool tables, a comfortable cocktail lounge, and a cook-shop with outside seating. The work should mostly be finished by the end of this month, with the grand "opening" on 24 December.

The intention is that the cook-shop will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Although the menu has not been finalised, it will in the main feature traditional Jamaican food. Cocktails, wines and champagne will also be available, with waitress service.

Once finished, it will be the best and most complete entertainment centre in TB. Look forward to seeing you all there!

Stuart, just to clarify, I understand that Chef has nothing to do with the Wild Onion. Is that correct? I'm surprised that this place has not taken on a new name.

Chef has cooked many meals for us at Sunset Resort. Be sure to try my favorite - Lobster and filet kabob, served with a plentiful bowl of drawn butter with sauteed onions for dipping!
