I have been off-line for a week enjoying a wonderful holiday with my family at Doubloon Villa. Special thanks to Judy for offering us this magical place to stay. We were so contented we barely moved off property all week long! We started every morning sitting on the patio outside the verandah sipping our coffee and watching the activities on the Calabash Bay beach with fishermen preparing to go to sea and the pelicans enjoying the remains of what the fishermen brought in from sea the night before.

Then, after a delicious breakfast prepared by Lavern Chedda and Hio Moxam, we would move to the pool. The sea breeze felt under the thatch roofed hut next to the pool was just irresistible. One especially fun morning was when Simone came to polish our nails under the thatch roof.

Dinner was always fabulous and plentiful and after dinner we would waddle back out to the patio and watch for shooting stars in the sky.

Thanks to all our friends who came by to visit, playing rousing games of spoons, and helping us eat all this amazing food being prepared for us.

Special thanks to Robert for keeping the grounds so beautiful and the pool sparkling at all times, and to Lavern and Hio for keeping the villa clean and shinning and for making me gain about 10 pounds this week! And to all three, special thanks for making my family feel right at home and part of the Doubloon family.

Very special thanks to Judy Hanley for suggesting this to me and for making it all possible. It is a vacation we will remember always.

Oh what fun to spend a week at Doubloon with your family and get all that pampering! Sounds like the ideal vacation- family, good friends, awesome food, perfect location, and lots of fun times!
