NO!!!!! Mama D we are not. Why do we buy the newspaper? TBnet is my daily dose of what is going on in my world (Treasure Beach) .The site is very good for us to air our grievances about what's going on in our neck of the woods and good debates as well as seeing love ones back home, it's a medium we've come to love . Oh it's also a community notice board , a brochure for the many guest houses in the area and a point of contact with people we have'nt seen or spoke to in years. It's a flavour I simply can't do without. It's a breath of fresh air it's the best thing since slice bread.

i meant no disrespect....
i too check the board for the same reasons (and because i'm nosey) :-)
but i don't buy newspaper - to much propaganda for me

I'm right there with you TB.net lovers! I can never get down there often enough to satisfy my craving, so this is the only substitute I have found. My husband and brother-in-law are from TB, so it is the way we can keep up with what is going on with family and friends. Sometimes, we call down there and we know about things that are going on before our family who live there hear about it!
It really provides a great service to everyone who lives abroad, but leaves their heart in Jamaica!
Much respect to Rebecca and Eric for providing this link for us!
Besides, the pictures keep my heart full!

One love,
Yardie's wife

hookedonTB. thanks for sharing your struggle with us.
I will pray for you both to have strength and courage to fight your battle.
Do not forget that hair does not make a person beautiful - it's what under your skin that makes you beautiful.

I second Mama d's sentiments. Postive thoughts and prayers are being sent your way from Treasure Beach and we look forward to your return visit someday soon.

I agree with all the sentiments expressed here about TB - came out 2 years ago and have been back 3 times since already. Love the place and the people - just got back a couple of days ago and want to big up 'Cool Running' a new bar that's just opened in Gt Bay. Spent a couple of evenings there - good to have something like this at this end of TB. Thanks to Palmer the owner for being such a friendly & helpful host - hope the bar proves to be a big sucess - it should!!

Have just got back from TB too--missing it like crazy,so have to declare myself a TBnet addict!!
I think the only cure is to plan my next trip asap
I would like to thank everyone who helped to make our stay so special especially Palmer at Cool Runnings bar in Gt bay.We were there for the bars opening night and had a great time in the company of the locals in Gt.Bay--they know how to party!!
Wish I could be there for Xmas--maybe next year.
Merry Xmas to all in TB

There must be someone who shares this "ism" with me. (or perhaps not) lol

I'm on a wireless dealio so the load time for TBnet takes a second or two longer than when I was directly hooked up to the cable modem. This little pause allows me time to put my mouse over the space where "whats new" will be, then again at "new and last 24 hours." Its quite satisfying when I dont have to move the mouse when I've hovered right on the correct spots. (you know you're gonna try it now) :-)
