As one from away, and a fortunate tourist to Jamaica,I'd like to comment on some of the great disscussions in the forum. Today. more then ever it truly is one world. We all share higher aspirations for our children, and a better life for ourselves and those we care about.

I was lucky to first visit JA in the late 70's, and again last winter, this time with my entire family, including my parents who are in their 80's. It was the best vacation ever!Although a lot had changed, the most important things were the same. Tremendous natural beauty, and the heart and soul of tremendous people. We felt welcome and safe the entire stay. I feel lucky to have chosen TB and the villa Unforgettable for part of our stay.

There are good and bad people everywhere. The poor and oppressed will get angry. We need to raise the standard of living for all,and true, education and the sharing of ideas and opinions is key.

I live in the northeastern US, they call it Vacationland, as it is also a place of great natural beauty .It is a poor state that relies a lot on tourism for jobs. As those from away discover it and move here they drive up land prices so the locals cannot afford to keep or purchase land in their home towns. Those from away also work to make this place a lot like the place they left.
To be fair, most bring more good than bad,as in a broader and more worldly view, and a willingness to raise the standard for all.

Jamaicans be true to you and yours.Embrace peoples of one heart, one mind,no matter where they are from.Together we will be one.

Thank you, Dan. I tried to say something similar in my last comment on the previous thread but you said it so much better. Respect.
