I am coming to TB in mid december and would like to spend a night or two in Negril. Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay? Reasonably priced.

Try something from the negril resort association. My husband and I have stayed at Whistling Bird (whistlingbirdresort.com) I would recommend it unless you are traveling during spring break. If you do choose "the bird" don't buy the all inclusive plan. You can find less expensive food elswere. Bim, Miss Lilly and the gang would make your stay enjoyable. If you are expecting the Ritz Carlton you would be disappointed. But if you want clean, comfortable accomodations on a great stretch of beach I would recommend Whistling Bird. If you would like to see pictures and have any quesions please feel free to email me (taunaj@msn.com) Another place I have heard is very nice would be Country Country. I don't know first hand about country country but have read great reviews.

Idle-A-While, Country Country, the revamped Tensing Pen, Nirvana, the top floor rooms at Blue Cove Castle might be of interest...

One of my favorite places in Negril is The Rockhouse, located on the cliffs.

Kuyaba is right on the beach and has amazing modern, clean, bright rooms. The restaurant has very good food. Very cool vibe.

Sea Scape on Norman Manley Blvd is clean and convenient, More reasonably priced than some of the other places mentioned.

Wow, thanks everyone for the info. I'll check out these places. Does anyone know how busy Negril is in mid December? I'm used to TB and don't want to be in Negril if it's too crazy.

I would highly recommend:

Tensing Pen - cool vibe with fantastic rooms and rock swimming, on the west end

Country Country - lovely one and two bedroom cottages, very clean and bright - with a small restaurant on the beach

Idle Awhile - really cool and modern vibe, nice restaurant

Rockhouse - On the west end, nice rootsey rooms and good food
