Nigel & Carlette Moxam:

I was over at your mother Dawn's yard the other day taking some pictures while she roasted her delicious coffee.

When I saw the bumpy bananas on the tree next to her, she asked me to take her picture and send it to her children.

dawn

She says she loves you very much and longs to see you again.

And I am eating a mango from one of Dawn's trees as this is typed. Miss Dawn is one of the most generous, kind and hard working persons I know. I consider her a great friend who has always been there for me with an encouraging word, unlimited hugs, coconut pies, bananas, coffee, mangos, lobster, . . .

I love working with Dawn at Calabash House, but mostly I feel very privileged to call her my friend.

Hi Dawn-

What a nice picture! I am almost out of your coffee beans but when my son comes to Calabash House in 2 weeks I am going to make sure he has money to buy more and bring it back to me!

Was thinking of your delicious calalloo omelettes the other day, yum!

Hope you are well!

I consider Dawn to be my sister as she is another "mother" to my precious daughter Elizabeth. Dawn was there to give her needed hugs at a time of change in her life. Dawn has become a part of the fabric of Elizabeth's life.
Dawn, a note is on the way to you.
With great love,
deborah

Hi there my Jamaican mother, Dawn. Ever since the first night I met you I knew that I would love you for the rest of my life. You are such kind, compassionate, and beautiful woman, inside and out. You deserve the absolute best, Dawn. You have no idea what joy you have brought to my family and I. My mother made me cry when she told me that you consider me to be one of you daughters. For that, I feel blessed and honored. Also, thanks for sharing your beautiful daughter, Venique, with me. I had so much fun with her, and I fell in love with her too. When she stayed the night with me at the Calabash House, I really felt like we bonded and that I gained a sister. I can tell she is just like you, and I'm sure that you are proud to have her, as she is such a wonderful young woman. I wish so badly that I could give you a hug right now, becuase I am such a cry baby, like my mother here, and am starting to get all teary eyed. Well, Dawn I hope all is well with you and your amazing family. With buckets of love, Elizabeth S.

Hello Dawn; Marie and I enjoy seeing your beautiful picture on the internet. Although we have not seen you in ages, we do still think of you all. Marie talk about the many nights she and you spend at Cayaba Guest waiting on our folks to accompany them home. Looking at your photograph, I must admit you look just like Syria.
