I just came back from Jamaica i spend a week i had a very good time, but at Montego Bay Airport i had absoutely nothing to declare i was ask by a custom officer to be removed from the line to be check, then when she went through my luggage, could not find anything, she told me to put money in my passport and give it to her, i said to her why, do i have to her respond was because i have a American Passport. I was never so humiliated in my life. I just want people to be aware of whats happening, these custom officers they all work together they are getting paid to do a job so do your job and stop harassing Jamaicans with Ameircan passport.

That is horific, I certainly hope that you didn't satisfy their request. Without a doubt, you should report this to the Jamaican Customs Agency, or similar department.

I will ask Judy Schoenbein, one of the Vice President's of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association, to report the above incident with Customs as soon as possible.

Please be advised that this type of treatment must be reported to the Jamaican Authorities, and the best organisation to report it to would be the JHTA as they will investigate and take the necessary steps to rectify the problem.

Sorry that you had to go through this, with Customs anywhere in the world sometimes, you might find someone who is on a "power kick", and at least where Jamaica is concerned, something can be done about it as we have a very amazing group of people in the Tourism sector who care enough to fix it.
