The Jamaica Women's Cricket competition started on Sunday, February 13 with the Treasure Girls playing Kigston& St. Andrew at Maxfield Park in Kingston. Treasure Girls batted first and were bowled out 65. Toni Greaves (seen below) led the Treasure Girls with the bat scoring 17. In reply, Kingston & St. Andrew won by making 66 for the loss of 2 wickets. Even though the Treasure Girls lost, they played well. The next match will be on Sunday, March 6, at the new Great Bay Sports Ground in Treasure Beach.

Peta Gay Hansen intimidated the opposition with her bowling form.

Special thanks must go to Folichon and Heron's Reef for donating one dollar US per night for each night their villas are booked through Treasure Tours. This program funded our first match expenses.

We also must thank Kevin Fisher for donating the use of his bus for transporting the Treasure Girls to and from Kingston. Not many people would just hand over the key to their vehicle and say, "Go ahead and use it for the day." Your the best Kevin!!

Thanks must again go to our long time supporters, Mar Blue Domicil, Mar Blue Verandah, and Susan and David Vance. Without their support, our Treasure Girls would not have been able to travel to St. Lucia this summer and participate in the West Indies tournament representing Jamaica.

We look forward to another great year of competitive women's cricket and appreciate your continued support.
