The 4th Annual Children's Christmas Party was held on December 24 at The Kingfisher Plaza. This year seemed bigger and better than ever thanks to so many wonderful donations of toys, food, and fun.
Special thanks to Erik and Janet MacPeek, David and Susan Vance, and Lynn and Roger Bajema for their generous donations of toys. Thanks to so many donations of toys this year, we were able to supply Newcombe Valley, the Black River Orphanage and other areas with toys for their Children's Christmas parties!
This party is sponsored and organized by The Treasure Beach Women's Group, with food being donated by Breds, and Preacher baking his fabulous cake!
I felt like I was sitting on Santa's lap since Thanks to Oral Ebanks donating the space of the Kingfisher Plaza and spending sooooo much time (4 days with a crew of 4) to put the lights on the Christmas Tree, we are able to have the perfect location for both the Children's Party in the day and the tree lighting party at night. Nuff respect due Mas Oral!
Jerry Taylor is one of the dedicated elves helping Oral put the lights on the tree and ready the plaza for this wonderful event.
Hey Jerry, who is that?
Is it, could it be, he found his way to the country?
Yes, even Santa made a special appearance! Thanks to Debbi & Rian Harpie for arranging for Santa's trip from the North Pole.
The elves were giving away the gifts.
Games were being played.
With a new modern twist to the games being played.
Faces were being painted.
Even some big kids came out for the festivities.
And for some, the excitement was just too much.
To be continued . . .
Another sucessful year. In September we were not sure what the future held, but thanks to the collaborative efforts of so many, the children were smiling!
Season's Greetings from all of us here to all of you!
Some of the members of the Treasure Beach Women's Group serenaded us to a special Treasure Beach version of the old favorite, Twelve Days of Christmas. They made up the words themselves and the song was a great success.
Enjoy!
