We are arriving in Treasure Beach on 12/21/04 and need an economical place to stay, preferably near or on Frenchmen's Bay. Last year we stayed at Golden Sands but they don't have the room available. We will be staying three weeks and don't mind trying different places. Our only requirement other than price is location within walking (short walk) distance to the beach. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Tom and Jeanie.
Jeanie, I've sent you an email re. accommodation at Frenchman's Beach! Jo
I'd recommend 4Ms Cottage, run by Effie Campbell. It's clean, nice, and directly across from the Treasure Beach Hotel -- and a beach. There are six bedrooms in this guest house, each with a private bath -- they rent by the night; savings would be possible for longer stays. There's a big kitchen with a fridge where you can store drinks and food; also, they make good, inexpensive meals if you'd like. Effie can most easily be reached on her cell at 876/870-9130. Her daughter has a PC, and you could also direct an inquiry to her at kemeal@hotmail.com; she would then convey it to Effie.
Good morning and thanks, we have heard a bit about Coconut Cottages, but would like a bit more info? Tom really likes to know about where he'll be staying. merry Christmas to you all.jeanie
Hi Jeanie I would recommend You stay at this wonderful guess house right beside Tiffany's restaurant its very nice and comfortable there's a kitchen with stove if you want to cook, are you could just go to Tiffany's for a wonderful meal and its just walking distance from the beach for more info you can contact Carmen at 876-965-0300 hope you have a wonderful time in Jamaica.
Hi Jeanie,
I am recomending Fairhill Villas, which is right by Golden Sands. It is like a home away from home. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen, living and dining rooms, washer and dryer. Very clean and neat. Check out Fairhill's wesite at http://jamaica-fairhillvills.com and treasurebeach.net for pictures and futher information.
Thanks John

Has anyone stayed at Viking's House, Ital Rest or Pelican's Reach? They all sound appealing to me & I wonder which has the best view (of the sea mainly). Any comments & reviews will be appreciated.
Also, I know the weather in TB is as warm or warmer than Negril but is the sea temperature as warm also? We would hope to come in Nov. or next March.
I have stayed at Vikings house twice. We really enjoyed the place. It's on a quiet lane in a very safe area. The owners were abroad during our stay but their family lives all around the property. We rented the entire house (before they expanded). It worked out nice for us as we could have as many friends as we wanted visit. We did our own cooking, so having the kitchen was great.
I see on their site they are now back in Jamaica and provide additional services (meals, equiptment rental).
I have never stayed at Ital Rest. But, I did look at it while at Vikings. The place looks very clean & comfortable. It is operated by relatives of Vikings.
I've stayed at Vikings house also... pre-renovations. I can only imagine how cool the place is now. Ya cant go wrong with the Genus family at either Ital Rest or Vikings... I've never stayed at Pelicans reach, but the ad looks lovely.
I've never stayed at Pelicans Rest either. But I stayed at the house next door. The beach there is awesome !
I've stayed at Ital Rest. It is very clean and comfortable. So peaceful. Wish I was still there. The beach is a short walk. Jeanne and Frankie are wonderful.
Thank you for your comments & if anyone else hase something please add. All 3 still look & sound so nice I can't decide.
I can recommend somewhere. If you send me an email I can give you some more details...
