10 yrs ago today my mom, Sister Vyris Senior passed away. She was a loving mother who loved all her children. She loved to laugh and sing hymns. I have so many memories of her like when she would sew the most beautiful clothes for me and my sisters or the way she would call me miss del. I miss you so much mom and I know you are resting in a better place and I am praying that someday we will me on that beautiful shore.

Love always your daughter Del.

In loving memory of my dear Mother Vyris A Senior
born February 19th 1929 and departed from us on November 19th 1994.

I would like to say a few words about my mother. She married when she was eighteen years old and bore six children, 4 girls and 2 boys.
My mother was a woman who was faithful and loving to her husband through the good times and bad times.
She was a woman who was loving to her children, grandchildren, and great grand children, she always would say: “Myrna I would like to see my children and their children service the lord”.
She was also well respected in her community and played an active role in it. She would visit and pray for the sick and was always kind to the poor.
A woman with integrity that made my mom a beautiful woman. She would take the time to talk and laugh with people. .
My mother was a strong and proud woman who was full of integrity. Not only was she beautiful on the outside but also she was full of compassion, which made her more beautiful on the inside. She would take the time to talk and laugh with people. Though she was a small woman, she had a strong inner being which made her a woman who I will always look up to.

I would like to say a few words about my Grandmother, I visited her a few times when I came down to Jamaica, though I was young at the time I will always remember her to be a woman with a smile on her face and someone who made sure that her family was taken care of. She was always good to my grandfather and made sure that he was fed and taken care of before she looked after herself. I wish I got to spend more time with her but I know she is resting in a better place now.

To my beloved grandmother Vyris Aleithia Senior:

Word can not express the lost you have left behind. If you look in a dictionary for the meaning of grandmother your picture would be right there. Your was willing to help out with others. The biggest thing I miss is your smile/laughter. I remember when I was living out there going to school. I used to complain about having headachs, and what did you do? You bought me hat to wear to school. Oh I also remember the day when you decide to comb my hair, oh boy did that very hurt(smile). Granny/Old dear I have so much good memories about you that I can say and write but one thing I remember you used to say to me was "You're just like your Granny" and in some ways I think your right. I think I was one of the last grandchild or child spoken to you before you past on to be with the Lord and Grandpa. You said to me "Shannie, Granny is okay and remember that Granny is so proud of you and I want you serve God."
Granny I know you are in better place with the two men you loved the most Pastor Kenford Senior and the Lord Jesus Christ.
One thing I know is that you're still watching over all of us, like you did when you were here with us.
Love you always
Shannie
