Brian.../Andrea.../Monica.../nurse ratchet...
WHEN exactly would you need it ...?
Brian, Andrea, and all looking for villa availability for the next four years,
Please e-mail me with your requirements, and I will respond. Possibility of villas available on the beach between Frenchmen's and Billy's Bay.
Thanks.
It is our impression that the folks requesting a 4 year stay are voicing their opinions (shared by about 50% of America) to the results of the recent elections held in the US with a 'tongue in cheek' accommodation request.
Although we are sure, if they could, they probably would love to stay in TB for 4 years, they probably cannot.
If we are wrong and any of you requesting accommodations for 4 years are serious please let us know.
Given the amount of recent land sales on the South Coast, and the increasing interest, let alone the start of winter season rentals and the soul itself of the area, many folks' tongues are not at all so firmly planted in cheek...
If I had the $$$ I'd be there for the next 4 years !!
Maybe a group house for all of us frustrated Democrats would do it. God knows it would take all of us to pay for it since none of us can keep up with the rising cost of living and being insured here. Not to mention the growing embarrassment of saying out loud, when we are a foreign, that we are Americans.
Let us hope the people that are requesting staying in Jamaica for four years are Jamaicans because, visitors are not allowed to stay for four years at one time. Now you can all see this is a joke and it is the American Election pharse they are using.
I'm anxious to see the result of the beach clean-up.That was the best thing that could have happened at this time and my thoughts were there with you all.Keep up the good works so TB can return to the way it use to be.Hoping to see you all for the holidys if not early 2005.
God Bless.
I do apoligize for the misunderstanding my sarcasm has created... I also apoligize for the delay in response, briefly pulled my head up from Academia/the grind, so sorry for the misunderstanding. As everyone knows, the only thing to do is to trod on, continue to progress locally and hope others pay attention. Although sarcasm helps deal, I promise to limit it to more appropriate ways next time. As to the response from Tivertown house, please email me at 2climbon@earthlink.net with any possibilities you might have in mind. BPC
Jo,
having a hard time emailing you directly, would like to discuss any possibilities you might have, please email me directly at 2climbon@earthlink.net if you can think of something. Thanks, BPC
This is for all my fellow Americans requesting (tounge in cheek) 4 years in Jamaica (me wanting to be right along side). Read this today and thought of this thread. As much as we may not like the political situation in the US...like everything in and of this world it will change. And even when it does, and it will, we all will still be longing for a longgggggggg extended stay in beautiful and loving Treasure Beach
Subject: To Quote Thomas Jefferson
"A little patience, and we shall see the reign of witches pass over, their spells dissolve,
and the people, recovering their true sight, restore their government to its true principles.
It is true that in the meantime we are suffering deeply in spirit,
and incurring the horrors of a war and long oppressions of enormous public debt......
If the game runs sometimes against us at home we must have patience till luck turns,
and then we shall have an opportunity of winning back the principles we have lost,
for this is a game where principles are at stake."
--Thomas Jefferson, 1798, after the passage of the Sedition Act.
