Sarah Todd of Lyric sent in a couple of photos taken at Rebecca's house one of the nights following Ivan's visit. Its a good example of the positive spirits shared in those by the comunity in the midst of the recovery efforts.

Thanks Eric for posting that for me. I really wanted to say a massive thank you to Rebecca who had so many millions of things going on that her head must have been spinning, but she still managed to put together a fabulous Roast Beef dinner and host a magnificent evening. In a time of need, Rebecca's shoulder is the one that so many people lean on. You can only imagine the amount of support she has given people by the amount of thank you gifts that appear on her doorstep each day. From bread to water to a bag of ice. And you could see that with each gift she was forever grateful.

Thanks Rebecca...Sarah

Thanks right back to you Sarah and to Lisa and Esther. Having such a great personal support system around me is what keeps me going. Our 'night sessions' immediately following the hurricane kept me sane! Thank God for laughter.

Sarah is correct. Personally, I have been humbled by the support I have recieved. When news got out in TB that my water tank was knocked out by the hurricane, I would come home and find containers of water on my doorstep. I have had people bringing me fresh vegetables (a rare commodity right now), a block of ice! (an even rarer commodity at the time), and lobster and fish from fishermen who had gone out, found a few traps, and shared their find with me. My dear, dear friend Dawn even offered to do my laundry for me since I had no water and she had a water tank. She knew I was busy, and she wanted to help. Understand, this mean't every towel I owned which had been used to stave off the rain pouring into the house.

Whether through large or small events and kindnesses, the community spirit here is alive and well and I am very grateful to be a part of it.

P.S. Ya happy now Eric? You finally got my photo up there!

Finally, a photo of Rebecca! I have been wondering who was behind the words that told us how all our friends were doing. Great thanks for following up on all our questions.
