What I'd like to do is get a before picture to go with the after Ivan pictures that Rebecca and others have sent.
Check out the pictures on these pages and see if you have any that show what the area was like before the storm roared through.

As for getting them to me...let's put it this way: If you know what you're doing, post them here. Make them no bigger than 500 wide and 72dpi. Use this code to upload: \image{picture1} and increment the number after picture for each one you attach to a post.
If you're unsure about those number above, just send it to me at webmaster@treasurebeach.net and I'll take it from there.
OK, I think I have some before photos to support your after photos. They may not be the exact same camera angles, however you will be able to make out the areas. I would also like to thank Amy Gottlieb-Nudd who has posted some great photos on some travel sites and I recognized some of the areas from her photos as well. Some of these photos are from Amy's collection.
The Buttonwood Tree
Calabash Bay
Calabash House
Fishing Coop at the Harbour
Great Bay
Good stuff!
Boy u got me crryin!
Wonderful pics!!!
I've got a bunch of pictures so far. I'll be getting to them over the weekend and posting them here.
Thanks!
I also have a lot of pictures, but will wait to see what you post before digging out all my old photo albums :-)
And thanks, Gil, for posting photos from my site! I feel quite honored knowing that other people are actually looking at them.
Miss Amy I always enjoy your pictures, they are so beautiful. I have scrapbooks with some in them and even have a great shot you took of Jakes framed in my family room, thanks for the memories.
I have finally been able to post the before and after pictures. A couple are almost exactly the same shot, but some are pretty different and are just to show how the area itself has changed.
You can view them side by side here.
Hi Eric, we have one to add to the one at the Calabash House looking from the porch to the Sea. Oh, my! My heart breaks! I just talked to friends from Jacksonville, that we met staying at the Calabash House (2003), and we're all still coming back at the same time, no hesitation whatsoever. Dick is still sleeping after the time change in Tampa. Boy, he came home at a good time!!!!!!!! BIG TIME WIND hitting Sarasota/Bradenton. Will have him email them tomorrow, early a.m. Take good care everyone!
