Another quick update.

Rebecca reports that 'wata gone!' They had water for two hours last night, but none since. However, just that amount lifted spirits and everyone is thinking that it soon come.

Relief Efforts on the ground
The Relief Team met again today and is going to talk to the farming and fishing communities to determine how to get them back on their feet and earning a living. The ideas so far are for some Relief Funds collected on this site to purchase wire and sticks for fish pots (traps) and for seeds and other farming needs. Together with your help, we're getting people back to work! Be part of it

Getting back to work:
Perhaps the biggest way you can help is your continued patronage of the local businesses so residents can return to their jobs and their paychecks.

Here's a short list of places that are open or will soon open. If any villa/guesthouse/restaurant owners would like me to add to this list, either post here or email me directly at webmaster@treasurebeach.net

All are open unless otherwise noted and are just waiting for water and electricity to return so they can start hosting guests again.

Big Up to the Merrimack College and TB Posse led by Rebecca's niece Katie. They collected funds for TB Relief at their college over the weekend. Auntie Rebecca says she's proud of her niece and all her friends.

Bad news: The CWJamaica workman who was supposed to fix Rebecca's telephone line today fell off a roof yesterday and was taken to hospital by the TBERU Ambulance. Thankfully there is a TBERU Ambulance for these cases. Big Up to Breds and all the donors and doctors who helped make a reality.

Looks like water is back in the pipes again.

Probably on and off over the next few days.

Another update...

ELECTRICITY IS BACK ON IN TREASURE BEACH!!!!!

Rebecca already has her fans running, a tray of ice cubes in the freezer, and computer's battery on charge. Talk about a happy lady!

She informs me that JPSCo has been really really good in getting the lines back up and that Mr. Roach, the local electrician, has been working tirelessly to make sure that the lines from the house to the poles are fixed. In fact after fixing Rebecca's today, she asked him 'how much' and he yelled 'later, later' as he was rushing to the help the next residents in need.

Things are going in the right direction!
