My fifth digit did it..I couldn't believe when I heard Percy's voice. Like everyone else the conversation was short as he has no way to charge up his battery. I am going to call him back at 8pm and will have a list of names for him. So far, I learned that Ms. B's house has roof damage but part of the roof is still there. Ms. B is quite shook up, but anyone who knows Ms B. will know she is right out there fighting back. Ukie and Ida Hill's house also had roof damage but not as much as Ms. Loretta's who's roof got licked right off. All the houses in that small area have some roof damage. The beach is really mashed up and most the boats sustained some damage. Percy said it is a sad, sad thing and it is hard as no one can contact anyone.
I'm not sure about everyone else but even though I knew everyone was okay it was sure good to hear his voice.

Is it Loretta GORDON whose roof is gone? Can someone please be sure before they reply. (I'd heard it was okay ...)

Lorreta's (sorry if spelling is wrong....I don't know her last name but will ask when I speak to him again tomorrow.) she lives in a house behind Ukie and Ida Hill's in Billy's Bay. I am sure. I talked to Percy again. He talked a lot about what happened through the wind. He said it was like taking a trip to Kingston, stoping for breakfast, traveling some more and then stoping for lunch:-) He also talked about how much people were helping each other. He said that some of the Boat's from Billy's Bay actually were washed up to the road. His biggest concern was that all the fishermen lost their pots. I had not thought of this until now. What a big loss. He sounded very tired but what a community spirit. They are all sharing what food and water they can get and helping each other to rebuild. I will after this try to be very specific with any details I get. I asked about further down in Billy's Bay about Irie Rest, the government houses across from Skipper's but he said the water was across the road and was just passable. I beleive he has been staying in his own yard helping there. More tomorrow. I am in hopes that now everyone will be able to connect with the people they are concerned about but if I can and someone requests it I will make sure and ask Percy to check on them.

Hi Guys, I of course asked about all of the above and I know they are all okay and thier homes are okay yet damaged. Percy has not ventured down there as he is busy in our yard and there was water over the road. I will talk to him tonight also..I beleive he is going to venture down today as I asked him to personally check on everyone and say I asked about them. As for Pauline, there is no word concerning her Fort Charles home or family. But Percy is on the case. The beach is mashed up very bad. Percy said the boats actually were tossed up to the road. I'll email more when I talk to him tonight. I don't have your email any longer as I got a new pewter..crashed the last one..bad.

Thanks a lot Maree. It means alot to hear about everyone is ok. And to speak about cring for the others need. Isnīt that what we all love most about our friends there. We will be in town in 3 weeks to show we did not forget them and may be also being able to help some personally.
Hope Paulines house is still ok with housing all the kids.
Markus
