Hi everyone,
geart News!! I spoke to my Mom, Ruth Soares in Mandeville last night and in some areas, their land phone lines are working. There are alot of roofs missing off homes and Balvenie Heights area in particular had a lot of roof damage. Most of the churches in Mandeville have also lost their roofs. There is no electricity, and water and food is scarce. So far everyone is okay, but just alot of damage.

I spoke to a friend who is at the Market today. He says people are out and about and the market is fairly busy with vendors.

A slow return to normalcy...

Hope they can do something about the food supplies. THAT's scary!!

Mandeville now has electricity as well as regular phone service as of news I received from there yesterday. Hope that St. Elizabeth will be next.

Good news about St. Bess. I learned just a few minutes ago from someone in Newell that light and water is back. I hope Treasure Beach and surrounding areas are fortunate as well. Also for readers who are interested in traveling to Jamaica, AIR JAMAICA is offering a special.
