Any word on Sparkling Waters and how it fared? Also if Monica, Patrina, Duke and Preacher are ok?
Thank you Eric - you are doing a fantastic job and I know all of us Treasure Beaches lovers have a deep appreciation for all you have done.
Ja bless!
Andrea and Lincoln from Maryland
Hoping we can be there in two weeks, would love an update on the condition of the villas.
I hope you all know I meant SparkLing Waters!
Heard from Miss Totsy this PM. Original Sparkling Waters has been condemned but other villas seemed to be ok. Leandy's roof is gone but all people are fine which is what counts!!!. Her battery did not last long and was breaking up alot so no other word. Will report in if we hear anything else. Susan & David
Thanks S&D. Glad to hear the people are OK though we haven't met yet we hope to on the 27th, God willing.
Hi to Sparkling Waters friends. Heard from Preacher's friend Barbara in France. She had briefly talked to him and was told again, that all are ok but both the original buildings are gone. We still have not heard from Preacher ourselves but when we do will report in. Susan & David
I just spoke to Preacher. His own home is not damaged and he said he even has a spare bedroom for us (we have never met, what a nice guy).
He did say both original villas are gone/not repairable. The two newer villas are there and not too bad but probably not going to be repaired in time for our trip on the 29th of this month.
We will make alternate arrangements and will be fine. I am really happy to hear that his home is OK. He says the community is really positive, the help and support "from abroad" is really amazing to him, and everything will be all right
Hi Sparkling Waters Fans-Just spoke to Preacher on the phone, it was so good to hear his voice. Things are not as good as we first heard but could be alot worse. Original Villas are gone completly. New Villas may not be ready for occupancy until the end of October but that is all up in the air. He is so amazed and grateful for all the good wishes from all who love Jamaica and Treasure Beach. MONEY is what is needed of coarse and what is best to send at this point. Just glad to hear his voice!!!!! We are going at the end of October, no matter what and we will keep you informed as we hear more info. Susan & David
Hi again! I just got off the phone with Miss Totsy who confirms everyone is ok. They are paying 50J to get their phones recharged. Most of the damage is to the windows and doors of the new villas. As I reported before, Leondy's roof is gone, Rainbow Tree sustained roof damage too as did Everett Parchment's Mother's home. Trees have no leaves and have sustained salt damage and you can see all the way to Frenchman's Bay from Sparkling upstairs. I have some wonderful pictures from our stay (Dec.-April) but have no capacity to send them via computer(I'm technically challenged-Reb. promises to give me computer lessons) but will bring them with me when we go down in October and hopefully she will be able to help get some on line so we can compare. Again, the most important thing is that all friends are ok and working to get things back to normal. Money is needed most of all. Will write again when I have more news. Calling again Sunday AM. Susan & David
