Whew. What a morning and what a long weekend for the "Info HQ" here in Arizona. ("It is our intention to apply for a liquor licesne at the next Parish Council meeting" :-)
I took a moment to look around my place and realize it looks like a (Cat 0.01) hurricane hit inside here! Bits of paper all over the place with notes scribbled while on the phone with Rebecca, dishes from "grab a bite and then back to the computer" in the sink and on the counter, empty water bottles in every room.
Our weather's a bit better here, to say the least...nice and sunny with temps at 99 degrees at 11:30am. Yesterday the thermometer in the sun registered a high of 109.
Sleep has been intereteting. I've kept my laptop next to the couch/bed so I'd hear when new messages came in. I was able to sleep through most of them, but I'd wake up a few times during the nights and click on Approve to get the information out.
I finally got a shower...I'm not sure if I put it off becuase I was busy, or out of 'shared hardship' for those in TB, or just laziness. :-) But don't worry, Mom. I'm clean now.
But I do need a break. I'm going to actually leave my apartment, take a walk to stretch my muscles and go buy some food. Maybe even check the mail! And spend some time thinking about the donation situation.
Here's what I'd like to ask you to you for help with:
I want to see if MoneyGram or WesternUnion would be willing to waive their service charges when sending money to JA. Could someone call them and ask? Be persuavise, give them the info you've got from this site, ask them what if it were there grandmother down there, whatever.
Tell them that TBNet will gladly give them free advertising for the 2500 people who visit us each day, most of which will propably use their system in the future.
Imagine if hundreds of us called them and asked for this. I'll bet they'd see it as a good thing and agree!
If anyone knows of other ways to send money down there, please ask them if they'll help us as well.

Eric, this is your mother -- so glad you are clean again. And you did a great job with the local info we were so anxious to hear.
OK, now that my mother knows I'm clean, its time for another break. Actually, I've got to work on one of my client's web site now that has pledged part of its profits from a new program to the TBNet Ivan Relief Fund . Which means I better finish that new program so we can start earning those donations.
So I'm going to switch gears for the next few hours and then get some sleep for work tomorrow.
For anyone wishing they could "lead my glamourous life"...or just help out with getting information down to Rebecca and TB, I have a couple of things i wish I had time to do.
I would love a page of the names of every person who's been asked about on this site but for which we don't have any information yet. I made one from the requests yesterday and with Rebecca on the line this morning I went down the list asking about as many as I could. But there was just no time today. Any up for collecting the names from the various threads and putting them in one post?
And even better would be a list of all the people who have given their wishes to Rebecca and others in the area that I can read off to her to let them know we're thinking of them. Can you imagine how happy all those people who've been through this would be if they heard that so-and-so was asking for them, telling them how happy they are they're safe?
But alas, I have no time...do you?
I can dream, can't I? :-}
no problem...i got it
Maximum, Kristen.
I don't want to duplicate any work Kristin, so let me know how I can help.
Holy Cow, Kristen. I may have you do all my work form now on! :-)
She produced a list 225 names and 50 places that people have asked about along with who asked aboutt hem and the current status! This will be a huge help when I talk to Rebecca.
The next thing I need help with is for someone to keep the list up. This will mean adding new names/places as they come in (as some already have this morning) and updating the status of them.
Ideally, I'd like to have one page where people can go and see an up to date listing, rather than scattering them around in posts like they are now. I suppose this means I should put everything in a dynamic database that can be viewed through this site...any programmers out there who have some time. (Marlon, is this something you can handle? I'll email)
For now, the list is static and can be viewed here: http://treasurebeach.net/guide/ivan/names&places.html
Again, thanks to Karen and everyone else who's helping us out.
Eric, (Kristen and everybody)
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
We have relied upon you completely these past days (as everyone else) for info, support, and peace of mind.
THANK YOU FOR GETTING THESE MESSAGES TO OUR LOVED ONES!
we are forever grateful!
hope to meet you someday ;)
Jah Bless

Eric,
Since I already have the list I do not mind keeping it up, though I fear there may be duplicates since so many are first names only. Let me know.
Kristin
