As many of you know I was born and raised in Massachusetts. Hearing from my family over the last week I am remembering all too well those bitter cold and snow filled days. So I took a walk around the yard this morning feeling very grateful and blessed to be where I am.
This was around 7 and it was a bit overcast but the sun had already come out. Come on along!
Ha" i saw snow under the mango tree
Oh Rebecca! Cant't wait to be back.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful pictures.
I sure do miss this gorgeous country.
Ha!! Just rock Jamrock!
Irie Rebecca,"to everything there is a time and a season". The cold just make you hearty soul.
AWESOME. makes me home sick but gives inspiration to endure the cold Canadian winter. Another month and a half and weather will be better. Thx Rebbeca
I can almost hear the bees and feel the breeze....TY
Fess up, Rebeca, don't you miss New England just a little bit now.
NOPE!!!! Talked to my brother this morning and it was still snowing with a possible foot more on Sunday. I told him how we were all cold here this morning as it was 66 when I woke up.
Well, at least I gave him a good laugh.
So it is now official, Worcester County, Massachusetts has officially had the most snow fall of anywhere else in America this year with 93" so far and another 8" - 12" inches predicted to fall starting later today.
I was born and raised in Worcester County, Massachusetts. My brother, niece, nephew and many many friends still live in Worcester County. When I spoke to my sister-in-law this morning she told me they are busy raking the roof of their house using a snow rake designed for this purpose as there is so much snow on the roofs that everyone is afraid of roofs collapsing. She said snow removal seems to now be their full time job. UGH!
I thought of all of this as I walked around my yard this morning barefoot, wearing a sleeveless shirt, and shorts. I enjoyed and appreciated even more looking at all the flowers, eating a mango picked from the tree, watching hundreds of delicate yellow butterflies gently flitting about and being serenaded by a variety of birdsongs!
And yet people continue to ask me, "Why did you decide to live here?"
Duh!
Ohhhhhh Rebecca! You are living my dream
Every year I get older, I hate the winter more. If summer in VT wasn't so sweet, I wouldn't live here at all!!
Was just in TB for Christmas and am already longing to come back... that never seems to change!!
