Even though we are not awarding any more scholarships, we still have several excellent students in our scholarship program. We have assured them that we will assist them financially until the last cent is used.

If you are in a position to donate $10 or more, we ask you to go to our secure site: https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/1428399 and donate what you can. Contributions via credit card are accepted in any currency.

Our overhead is very minimal, so the vast majority of your donation will be used for one thing: to support our students.

Yes, donations from US contributors are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Thank you for anything you are willing to give.

May I ask why your foundation has ceased giving new scholarships?

We stopped awarding scholarships because administering the scholarship program was taking an average of 20 hours a week of my time--and I had reached a point in my life where I wanted to be able to devote more time to my family.

I tried to find someone else to run the organization, but everyone else who was qualified also had a full-time job plus other responsibilities.

Except for bookkeeping and accounting services, all work for Treasure Beach Foundation is done by volunteers. They are not compensated financially, but they certainly receive emotional satisfaction from what they are doing.

Paying someone to do the work I have been doing would use way too much of the money we collect, and our Board decided that would not be a responsible way to proceed. I fully agreed.

On behalf of our scholarship students and their families, thank very much for all the support you have provided over the years.

Your donations, both small and large, have given 30 students the opportunity to attend some of the finest high schools in Jamaica for up to seven years--and to excel at their studies. Without your assistance, a lot of these students would have been unable to afford the "luxury" of an education.

Some of our students are now attending universities--and are doing incredibly well.
