So each year I post a few photos which I hope sparked memories for some of you of Christmases spent in Jamaica.
This year I would like to hear from you. Let me know what reminds you of Christmas time in Jamaica and I will try to take a photo of it and post it for you.
Okay, so let me hear your suggestions!
Red Stripe on the beach !
Bammy bread,Christmas cake and the bun from great bay
Rebecca, you are a treasure to Treasurebeach! You should be voted queen of Treasurebeach, no joke! I lived in Treasurebeach until I was 14, and 2 things I remember most about Christmas: going to the market and Black River to buy Christmas goods, and going to Christmas themed events at the Treasurebeach Church of God. A photo of the church would be awesome, Rebecca, one love!
Okay Rebecca !! Great idea.
My first Christmas in Jamaica and also the very first place I've lived on the Island was GREAT BAY...
A very long time ago :-)
Can you take a photo of SEA CRAB with Pearl and Austin (may be Goldman too)?
I would love so much to see them again on picture into the bar or around... but I know they are shy, so if you cannot take a photo of them, please take one of the bar or a big sea crab... and have a drink there for me please.
Ps : Tell them they are often on my mind and always in my heart. You too my friend... but you knowt that very well. Thank you for everything you do.
With much Love and Respect.
Okay folks. Sorry for the delay but I've been a bit busy.
Sylvie, Miss Pearl and Austin wanted me to make sure to wish you a Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year!
TB, I am assuming the bun from Great Bay came from that old community oven. I've heard many stories about the Christmas bun coming out of that oven. This is the oven now. I would love to see someone make an effort to preserve this oven and intend to discuss this further.
I am still working on the bammy bread and Christmas cake. Stay tuned!
Distraction, here is your photo!
Dennis, you soon get your Red Stripe on the beach!
Anyone else have a Christmas memory?
When I see the Christmas bush start to bloom I know Christmas a come!
Thanks Shirley for letting me take a photo of your amazing "Christmas tree".
Best wishes for a great holiday and excellent New Year to all of Treasure Beach.
A bang-up job Rebecca, merry Christmas to you and yours!
