Did you know, just from May through to today we have had 166 successful nestings? That means there is the potential of over 25,000 hatchlings and the nesting season is not over with one more month to go! The Treasure Beach Turtle Group has joined together with Treasure Tours and are now offering Sea Turtle Tours.

What a great morning!! 12 students from the Sandy Bank Primary School's environmental club were able to come on a Sea Turtle Tour!











This club has been studying sea turtles for quite some time. We were all very impressed with their knowledge on the subject.

It was a wonderful sharing and learning experience for us all!

Thanks to Bobby and Carvel of the TB Turtle Group and Treasure Tours for donating their time and transportation. We look forward to bringing the rest of the students from the club and from other schools soon.

I can't wait to see the tour. This is exactly the type of tourism/economic development that the area should be exploring. It brings in money for short term expenses (shoes, food, school uniforms, etc) while safe guarding the area's environment for the long term.
