Does anyone keep bees in Treasure Beach? The climate and flowers seem ideal for honeybees.

I have not seen any bee hives in TB but over in the Vineyard area (Black River) where there is the logwood tree support many bees & hives. In fact there are many honey companies who sell honey from St.Elizabeth Parish in the local supermarkets.
The climate here in TB may seem ideal but the wind & semi arid desert climate i think may discourage bee populations!
But what more i know... bees are an interesting & they migrate into the best enviro's. At best they are here in Jamaica!

Terry Moxam and Mr. Parchment from Ft. Charles keep bees.

Mr. Parchment's honey is available for sale at the Treasure Beach Women's Group Craft Shop.

I declare real Jamaican honey to be the best honey on the planet.

Watch out for the fake stuff (syrup imported from China). Make sure you get the rrreal ting!
