I would like to ask all of you who are reading this message to remember Patti and Joe Shannon in your thoughts and prayers. Patti and Joe were Peace Corp volunteers here in Treasure Beach when Hurricane Ivan hit us hard. The two of them gave all of themselves plus more in helping with the recovery efforts put forth for this community. I personally will never forget the dedication and love they gave to Treasure Beach during that very difficult time.

Now, Patti and Joe are facing back to back hurricanes about to hit their home of Hawaii. I am in contact with them and as of tonight they are preparing for the hurricanes. Please join me in wishing them and their family well during this very difficult time.

Am definitely sending positive vibes their way. They both are great people--and were fantastic helping in Treasure Beach after Hurricane Ivan.

Our thoughts and prayers are with both of you! praying that you will be safe.

I just heard from Patti and Joe and they are okay. Lots of rain and wind but they didn't even loose power. The next storm, Julio, will be traveling north of them.
