It looks like Earle may be losing power and not much of a threat to Jamaica or anywhere else.

From The National weather Service :

...EARL DEGENERATES INTO AN OPEN TROPICAL WAVE...

AT 11 AM AST...1500Z...THE TROPICAL WAVE WAS LOCATED OVER THE CENTRAL CARIBBEAN SEA.

THE WAVE IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST NEAR 25 MPH...41 KM/HR.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 45 MPH... 65 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER GUSTS OVER THE CENTRAL CARIBBEAN SEA.

THIS IS THE LAST PUBLIC ADVISORY ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER ON EARL UNLESS REGENERATION OCCURS.

FORECASTER LAWRENCE

Yes, our prayers were answered. Earl is gone! About 4 this morning there were some serious gusts of wind, it is a bit cloudy and the wind is still blowing enough to let us know something is to the south of us, but other than that, the sun is shining and it looks like another beautiful day in paradise!

Thank God!

I drove around town on Sunday and have some more pictures to show you of the damage to Treasure Beach. I will get them posted a bit later on.

I have not had a chance to get to Big Woods yet, but when I do I will take my camera and share what I see with you.

I drove to Mobay yesterday and after leaving Barbary Hall, could not believe that I virtually saw no damage from the hurricane for the rest of the way.
