There was a wonderful article in the NY Times on Friday, 2/21/14.

Among other things, it spoke of a Rum and Food festival in Treasure Beach this May. Can anyone provide more information on this event?

Will there be a Rum and Food Festival in TB this May, or was that information provided to the writer some time ago--and it's now not going to happen?

The article in the NY Times says, "In May, Jakes will stage Jamaica’s first food-and-rum festival — fitting for a property so close to the island’s spirits mecca."

Simple questions: Is this still going to happen? Is it, instead, an idea that Jakes has chosen not to pursue after the information was provided to the writer?

I emailed Jakes and asked them about this festival but have not gotten any response.
