Does anyone have a practical idea as to how water used in our bathroom sinks could be recycled for use in flushing our toilets? I recently learned of this possibility and think its a great idea to save water.
As the sink is probably at around the same level as the toilet bowl GB, a small pump could carry the grey water to the bowl. Turned on manually, it could be shut off by a switch connected to the toilet float that turns off the pump when the bowl is full. Waterproof! Maybe not worth the expense considering $ savings, more an exercise in frugality.
Patient plumber and a co working electrician would be best.
Catchment anyone?
Great Bay...I pulled this AQUS Grey Water System out of my Island Specification Library, and the reason that it probably was rated highly (for J'ca Construction) is a "cheapscate-simplicity-but-quality" mentality.

Furthermore, for sustainability issues & products, the Inhabit site is quite progressive:

This is great. Not only does this save water but it also reduces the amount of water going into the sewage pit. I wonder about the added electrical cost of running the pump though.
