After many visits to the Negril area over the last 2o years we rented a van and made the journey to TB. So glad we did. We had 2 families consisting of 2 5 year old girls and a 1 yr old. The most trying part of the trip is the drive from Mo Bay for this first time Jamaican driver.
The greater TB community was perfect for families. There was no safety concern at all. So nice to walk down the main street and just say hi instead of "no Thanks" to the locals! Much respect there all the way around.
We rented an unbelievable house on the beach thru Treasure Tours. It was perfect with a pool and wonderful staff to cook and clean = total relaxation. We bought fresh fish and lobster straight form the boat. Fresh fruit and veges from the trucks driving thru from the farms. There are many more affordable places to stay that looked fine. Likkle Diamond cook shop in Billy's Bay had some of the best pork I have had for a 3 dollar lunch that included rice and peas, salad, and pasta, enough for 2.
The beach is different but somewhat similar to east coast beaches, minus the rocks. Plenty of nightlife it seemed, we didn't really go out because of the kids.
Can't wait to go back. Thanks to the community for a great time. If you are thinking about it you should go!
Thanks for the input and shout out Chris. It was great seeing all of you enjoying your stay and we sure hope to see you back here again soon!

Treasure Beach is a perfect place for peace-loving folk as well as families. It's been almost two years since my husband and I were there and we continue to talk about how/when we can get back there. To us, it's the ultimate Jamaican experience. Much love to our TB friends!
After 28 years of coming to Jamaica and going ALL around the island, I now only go to Treasure Beach !!
ONE LOVE !!
