Sending some Jamaican warmth out to all being affected by Hercules.
Sunrise this morning.
"Oh lord my God
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the world
Thy hands has made
I see the stars
I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power through the universe displayed"....
Thanks, Rebecca. I wish that were the view I was seeing out of my own window this morning. Instead, it's snow.
Just what I needed today, what a beautiful sight. Thanks for the post Rebbeca. Its -21 today in my city in Ontario Canada.
Thanks Rebecca & hear is a "breath from the frigid":
In This Season of Waiting
Under certain conditions,
when the moon in the western sky
seems frozen there, for instance
even as the sun is rising in the east,
so that soon two sides of the coin
will be facing each other;
or when the snow
which is a stranger here
fills our trees with its cold flowers;
when the single
bluejay at the feeder
is so still
it could be enameled there,
then the earth becomes an emblem
for whatever we believe.

Ah Hercules, how idiotic that we name every little winter disturbance. Soon we'll be putting dancing skirts with little bells for every 2 inch snow that we get. Americans have become wimps.
I was out and about this morning and took a few more photos to send our Treasure Beach warmth out to all those who are oh so cold today. We especially send out de warmth to our Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, and Illinois peeps! Please let us know how you are doing.
Shoveling snow Jamaica style!
If anyone is wondering this is marl.
Soon to come!! We are chilly, even in the house with heat! We have been stuck inside for 2 days and are getting cabin fever, but wind chills of -30F keep us in. Make us appreciate sunny TB even more!!
-33 and feeling more like -43. Its beyond just cold having skin exposed for any length of time its very painful. You've come through once again Rebbeca with such wonderful pictures to help us Ice Birds cope with the harshest days of winter I can remember since coming to Canada in the mid 70's.
I have to question my sanity for staying here so long and enduring this cold climate "think my brain is frozen" lol.
1Love all. hope the weather stays nice an even in JA
"Americans Wimps"
Darn right we are,and I am the biggest wimp, because when it drops below 70 here in New Orleans, I am ready to head to TB !!
The past two days the high has been around 30, and the only relief for me is knowing that I will be in TB in two weeks !!!!
Rebecca. THANKS for warming me up a bit with your wonderful photos !!!
ONE LOVE !!
Mike
Rebecca...we might wander far from our own Isle, but even though across the Great Ponds, we are still taking in the Gifts that are strewn in the communions of those settings & emotions & spirits & relations that continue to compose us...though our toes & fingertips be bitter cold.
Gratefully, your pictures point us to the arc of return...our rainbow journey, not too far off.
Here's a Video (images from the North Realm), with music by the great Van Morrison (easily fitting Bob's reference: A Natural Mystic) giving appreciation and praise to our landings.

Dear Tom and Jeanie: As Bill Clinton might have said: "I feel your cold!" See you in Feb.
Zephyr, that was awesome- nothing in Jamaica can compete with that, except the climate. We loosely talk of Jamaica being beautiful, it may be, but not as awe inspiring.
