hello everybody,

we had somebody breaking into our house in old wharf the night of the 31st ... not really a happy new year :-(.

when we got home the house was a big mess, but luckily nothing seems to be missing. it looks like we came home just in time to make the burglars flee, or they just didn't find what they were looking for.

apparently at least one other house got broken into the same night, where only US$ got stolen. at first sights it seems to be a break-in by the same burglars.

did anybody else's house get broken into at new year's night?

wishing everybody a lovely day,
hans

The price of progress? Oh for the good ole days! What a shame, every thief should be caught and publicly whipped! I have been the victim of a break-in once, and I know how violated you feel, but in such a community as TB this is unthinkable!

So sorry to hear Hans, probably were just looking for money, phones or cameras, nothing too recognisable or traceable. They are like snakes in the grass, slither in and slither out unseen!

If criminals believe they will not be caught then they do the crime.
Installing a video camera security system may be the solution. This criminal may break into this house again or another place nearby.
