Hello everyone.

I am going to a pot luck dinner over the weekend and we're asked to bring a dessert from our favorite foreign country and I of course chose JA. However I'm not familiar with many local desserts other than gizzada and cool coconut water with a bit of rum.

So what are your favorite desserts? If you could provide a recipe (or a link to one) I would be very appreciative.

Thanks!

Sweet potato pudding with fresh cream or ice cream is delicious-my favourite! One of the things I don't see in Jamaica nowadays is corn meal pudding otherwise known as "pone". I love this too but can never find it in any of the eateries.

Thanks everyone. I think we'll make the "Jamaican Toto Coconut Cake Recipe" on the cooklikeajamaica site.

Does anyone know why its called "Toto"?
