Thank you Citizen for being the voice of those of us who are concerned about Treasure Beach becoming a shamble.

Inappropriate building form and placement is certainly a concern in our community. A sustainable building should also be designed for natural cooling and heating, water catchment and electrical generation.

I assume we are attempting to implement Sustainable Development as being promoted by our government.....?

Currently, the use of agricultural poisons, the burning of plastics etc, the annual bird slaughter and the depletion of fish locally are major drivers of said shambles that are being ignored.

I look forward to the responsible parties appearing on this forum to explain this neglect.

Almost forgot. Ministry of the Environment and their cousin NEPA. Too bad you are not independent, the land/sea/air reports to no one.

Looking for their report on the state of 'Land We Love 2013'. Including bird populations by species.

Are we waiting for a sustainable economy to happen before attending to sustainable development? If so, Dr Hickling is waiting to assist with that particular form of madness.
