I was lucky enough to be invited to see Lancel and Wilton Graham receive their Badge of Honour for Meritorious Service (BH(M)at Jamaica House on Heroes Day. Not only did they receive these awards for their contributions to the fishing industry, but their sister, Mrs. Laurel Levy was also awarded a BH(L) - Badge of Honour for Long and Faithful Service.. It is a unique achievement that three members from the same family receive such awards of distinction on the same day and I am so incredibly proud of them. Never let it be said that humble beginnings are a hindrance to progress. No-one is more deserving of these distinguished awards than these three. I have sent some pictures from the day to Rebecca who will post them. It was a day to remember.
Sincere congratulations to Lancel and Wilton Graham and their sister Laurel Levy. What great accomplishments and what great examples for all of us to be guided by.
Thank you Annabelle for sharing this wonderful story and photos.

Congratulations Mass Lance and Mass Walton you guys looking great when I see you men I missed my dad even more. God bless.
Congratulation to the Grahams, it must be a great feeling to be recognised by your country for your contribution toward nation building. Well done all three of you.
I hope next year we will see some posthumous awards to people like Raleigh Senior, Ken Senior, Withwort Moxam and Seaford Ebanks, these men pioneered the one day fishing trip to Pedro Banks and back. this open up new opportunities to the area in particular, and expanded the economy in general.
Congratulations to Mass Lancel and Mass Blue. Strong men who helped to build the community of Treasure Beach in their various roles. I feel proud that citizens of our little community can be appreciated for their work while they live.
May God bless you both with long life, good health and happiness.
