What happened to crop substitution? Was that not a program that was been funded by? If so, where are the funds and the what happened to the program?

No fish, denatured soils and urban drift away from farming. Poisoning the earth and soil is encouraged in a program of modernization aka monkey see monkey do.

Pan- where are the Parents and Guardians super-vision(s)...discipline...IN-structions for those children?
Discipline does not always means the BELT.

Pan,if you notice,you will see that the older generation pass away and neglect to leave their GOOD VALUES for their children and Grand Cn. So OUR society becomes de-pendent ON context and culture. Every man/woman do what IS PLEASING IN their OWN SIGHT.(right)

When GOOD men/women do not STEP-UP and do the RIGHT THING, evil men/women enter and destroy.(right,or wrong.)

As Yardy has given me a vote; yes? I should begin to create a manifesto.

Where else to start than the perfect model? Imagine building a jet plane with anything but. Then why not visualize the best system for us who are capable of making such things. We humans will modify any design when habit, custom, taboo, laziness, bad mind, stewardship and all our attributes have their sway. It would take a critical mass to implement this.

So, a few years into it....

Dear Brothers and Sisters, what a lovely rain we had yesterday. The moon is right and we have organic seeds ready through our seed exchange network. Just a few things before we go to plant and build.

Already there is a recordable improvement in human and soil health since pesticides were not allowed in and composting taught at all levels. The vegan diet has proven itself and has made enough surplus available that we now export vegetables, herbs and fruits.

Immigration is having a problem limiting visitors. As you know, we are the last paradise and all want in. The previously called Goat Island natural resort is full at US$1,000 per day all inclusive. The guests enjoy learning and planting as they recover from overdoses of modernity.

We now advise the IMF, World Bank and UNESCO on the design of a sustainable nation.

Thank you for allowing the seven years it took to be able see the design flourishing.

dear Pan & Kazie- It is good to know you are doing good for jamaica and expecting positive result.all it takes to set a forrest on fire,is one striked match with little wind. You need to advertise your plans,so the communities will know and participate. Pan- it is nice to know,you are into organic-seeding-eating.the healthy way to diet.
In the so called developed world,the cost for organic food,vitamins,drinks,etc,are very expensive.When jamaica become self-sustained,if the cost goes high like those developed countries,how will the poor-people continued living.
The visitors to jam,are visiting for refuge from cold weather,un-employment,bills payments-monthly,etc.Many J'cans never used to pay taxes,now they do with complaining. Paradise living is nice,but who will benefit most-buyers,or sellers.
If Jamaica prime-minister has borrowed over-seas money,to run jama... taxes will become higher to pay back what is owed.People will feel the pinch.especially the poor.

During this long journey, various people may take the rudder or dowse a better course. The motivation of a servant is not the love of power over others. Lead if you can keep the destination in sight and keep the information flowing.

The transformation of things can happen without bags of money. We have loads of the skilled and willing here. The business and money systems have their place, just not as designers of living on this planet.
