Saturday, September 21 is International Beach Clean Up Day. Can anyone say what the plans are for Treasure Beach?
Two Seasons Guest House would like to participate.

Christine
The TBWG and Citizens Alert Group are going to be out there as usual cleaning the beaches. I have asked them to let us know when and where to meet them. Usually, they start out around 6:30 - 7:00 and can be found at any and all of the TB beaches.
Or you can just come to your favorite beach with a few trash bags in hand and get busy!
We are looking forward to seeing lots of folks out cleaning the beaches on Saturday!
Everyone wanting to help out with the beach clean-up can meet at the Treasure Beach Women's Group at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow. Or you can go to any beach by 8:00 a.m. and join in!
A good opportunity to read the ingredients printed on the plastic containers. This is what our children are drinking. Sugar water is bad enough.
Are we sleeping?
A small band of us were at Billy's Bay on Saturday, including a handful of children.
While any amount of garbage on the beach is not good, I was pleased to note that the number of bags filled this year was far below the number filled last year.
Was that the same experience along the other beaches?

and from the likkle picnic "post-action"!
Thanks!
And continue to take care of the beach all the other days: don't throw anything out of garbage bins and keep clean your favorite one (when you go for a walk or a swim, take a grocery bag and collect some of the garbage), encourage people around to do same way... yes we can!
Thank you so much for the photos Veronique!! And thanks to all who came out to help clean up!
Here is a message from JET (Jamaica Environmental Trust):
Good Morning Volunteers
On behalf of the coral reefs, mangroves, the beaches, the birds, the marine life, the eco-system and the persons who depend on it, I must say THANK YOU TO ALL THE ICC DAY 2013 VOLUNTEERS!!! You were guys were fantastic!!!!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen quite that many people come out to show their support for this type of initiative and I must say, I feel blessed to have been part of this tremendous initiative. Because of you, we were able to make a statement to the world that Jamaica is an environmental responsible tourism destination!!!!
Once again THANK YOU!!!!!!
