What do you think would happen if someone local started a jet ski operation in TB, on Frenchmen Bay are Great Bay.
Would it succeed are fail quickly ?
ONE LOVE !!

Some of us would enjoy jetting across the bays.
Some of us are wary of the threat in the water and the noise and pollution from them.
To have a couple in service may be a good life saving tool.
They are, indeed, noisy, they do pollute the water, and can be a danger to dolphins and swimmers. peace, quiet, and nature are more to our liking, please.
There are several accidents each year involving jet skis in Jamaica ,some fatal. Only three weeks ago a seven year old child was killed on the spot and a four year old seriously injured by a jet ski whilst playing on the beach on a family day out. They are a major risk. I would like to think that I can have a stroll on the beach or sit and relax and watch the world go by without having to worry that one is going lose control and injury me or worse still kill me.There are calls for them to be banned, we don't need them in Treasure Beach.
If someone started such a business, it might succeed--or it might not; it would take a major investment in terms of equipment, personnel, a place to house the jet skis when not in use, insurance, maintenance, and more. One thing of which we can be assured is that it would be detrimental to the community in terms of noise and pollution; jet skis can also be dangerous. Most Treasure Beach visitors seek tranquility.
I'm not a jetski fan for various reasons.
But that aside, I don't think TB's waters are conducive. Too many shallow reefs and rocks just under the surface. In Negril, there is a long bay with no obstructions, and still there are accidents.
Since most people visit treasure beach for the tranquility then is it just a "happy" coincidence that it seems to have the perfect name.It could also be "Devine" coincidence or am I reading too much into this?I tend to do that.Otherwise do we look to the stars for the answer?
No, thank you.
