Reading the ingredients of a favourite Energy Bar (or so-called granola bars), with the Daily Values (DV) based on a 2000 calorie diet, found that it delivered among other nutrients, 10 grams of Protein (185 DV); 14 grams of Total Carborhydrates (5% DV); 5 grams of Dietary Fiber (20% DV), some Calcium & Iron, and way too much Sugar.

Superior Bulla Energy Cake:
Got to thinking with so many basic and primary school children attending classes without a proper breakfast (estimated at 50% in North West St Bess) that some foodie-neers/bakery innovators could do so much better in coming up with a stable, low cost recipe for a nutritious, deliciously satisfying Nutri-Bun (cereals/nuts/dried fruit for sweeteners...) to supplement these children's deficient diets.
Perhaps, there are others out in web-country researching this need & potential distribution (voluntary) mechanisms.

Eating breakfast also has ramifications on school performance. “Study after study shows that kids who eat breakfast function better. They do better in school, and have better concentration and more energy.”--Dr Marcie Schneider (Nutrition & Adolescent Medicine)

When i was a student @ Sandy Bank Primary School,i and other students did not get break-fast there. We got lunch @ 12pm. Different days, different meals. One day-dumplings & Ackee. Next day Red Beans Soup and Dumplings, etc. Milk-powder. When school close for Summer-Break,we who showed up,got a bag of Raw oats for por-ridge. We as students had no right to complained.
