Though we have not yet received final grades from all the Treasure Beach Foundation scholarship students, I am delighted to say that each and every one who has submitted their end of term report cards has done well enough to receive another scholarship for the 2013-2014 school year.
We would like to call special attention to two of our students who received absolutely outstanding grades: Anath Genus and Shakera Smith, both attending Hampton.
Please join me in congratulating all our students. Not only have they worked exceedingly hard, but they have been encouraged by their families and friends. Plus, they have been financially supported by hundreds of donors and people who bought villa raffle tickets; the accommodations owners and service providers who have been so generous over the years also deserve our gratitude. This has been—and continues to be—a wonderful community effort.
Sincere thanks to everyone involved.
Two thumbs up!!!! Congrats
We’d like to note a very special shout out to Kemelia Lyons, now going on to Sixth Form at STETHS. She will be on full scholarship for the 2013/14 school year—once again.
She has been an outstanding student and a joy to us ever since she was awarded her Treasure Beach Foundation scholarship when she entered First Form at STETHS (St. Elizabeth Technical High School) upon graduation from Sandy Bank Primary School.
Kemelia told us, “I received my CXC results and I must say that I am very elated because all my hard work and sleepless nights studying has paid off.”
She took CXC exams in nine subjects and scored a “1” in eight of them and a “2” on one. (A “1” is the highest possible grade.) Her 1s were in Agricultural Science, Biology, English, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Principles of Business (POB), and Spanish; of those she got a straight “A” for six of them. She received a “2” in Chemistry.
We are elated too. Please join me in congratulating this amazing student.
Great work, students! Keep it up, hard work really does pay off.
Congratulations to everyone of these students. They are an inspiration to the community.
Well done all! It's great to see our donations helping to make a difference to people's lives.
Kimberlee Taylor, now going into her second year in Sixth Form (“Upper Sixth”) at Hampton has passed all her CAPE exams. Here are her results.
• Biology (Unit 1)- Grade 2
• Sociology (Unit 1)- Grade 2
• Caribbean Studies- Grade 2
• Spanish (Unit 1)- Grade 4
In her latest progress report Kimberlee added, “I would also like to express sincere gratitude to you and Treasure Beach Foundation for your support throughout the years. You have played a very important role in my schooling and for that I am truly thankful. As I move into my second year of sixth form and even beyond, I will never forget what you have done for me and many others. I will forever be grateful.
May God bless you continually.”
Congratulations to all. Well done.
On behalf of the Sandy Bank Primary School family I most heartily congratulate all our past students who have done so well. We are extremely proud of you. Thanks also to Treasure Beach Foundation and all donors for their continued support.
