If only Miss Atilly Ebanks and her dear friend Miss Mike were alive. They were the first and best in the business.
I think they passed on their recipe to Dorothy James. She is the wife of Felix better known as brother Fellie.
She lives right beside the Tabernacle Assembly of God in Treasure Beach.

Good Luck.

I didn't know Miss Atilly or Miss Mike, but it sends chills up to my spine that 'good luck' paid such a tribute to them. We mustn't take our loved ones for granted because when they pass on, a void will be left. ~One Love.

Hi, I am Jenny Reynolds Nelson and I am often reminded of the wedding cakes baked by my Mom and Ms Atilly s-o-oo good all done by hand from their memories and collective experiences.I did write down the ingredients some time ago I will find and post may be some one will to try the method of soaking fruits like raisins, prunes, currants, citron and spices in alcohol until it looks like black mash for the wonderful cake batter.Ican still see those seven stories of cake iced and shining with crystal balls on our dining table.THANKS for the memories.GOD BLESS,ONE LOVE.

I have the cake recipe from my beloved mother Miss Atilly and her friend Miss Mike or "Gaddy" as many called her.

Myself and my departed sister Jean baked my wedding cake from that recipe and almost everyone asked who baked my cake. When I told them they say "no-way" so I invited them into my kitchen and showed them the extra ones I had tucked away in my cupboard, and when I opened one of the covered baking pan the aroma alone took away all the disbelief.
No two-ways about it we worked hard but it was "delicious".
My mother was not only a cake maker but also the best cook and wedding gown maker.

She would say make your cake as early as you can
it is better when mellowed.

One of my left-over cakes lasted for six weeks in my cupboard all because it was made the right way.

LOVE AND MISSES HER SO MUCH.

So Mrs. Ebanks-Edwards
Do you still use the recipe to bake wedding cakes and sell? Two Seasons Guest House from time to time gets requests for quotations on weddings, including the provision of wedding cakes.
