Man, what a weekend. First, we were treated to some incredible Jazz and Blues both Friday and Saturday night. Then to top the weekend off, there was a fish festival held at the Beach Rock Bar in Ft. Charles on Sunday, complete with toe tapping oldies music!
The cold Red Stripes went down easy on this hot Father's Day afternoon.
And the fish, whether steamed, roasted, fried, escovitch, or curried (my personal favorite)melted in your mouth.
Once the sun set, the luminaries were lit and the place looked fabulous. We were treated to performances by the Fresh Boys Dancers who entertained us with various dance/comedy routines.
This was a true Jamaican style beach party!
What a weekend!
We passed this place when going to Black River from TB by boat last March...is it open regularly or only for special parties or...?
Seems like Sparkling Waters would put us pretty close to it.
The Beach Rock Bar is open daily. It is recommended that you call ahead if you would like to order dinner since all meals are prepared to order.
Sparkling Waters is still a bit of a distance if you are walking (about 20 minutes), but an 8 minute drive. Transportation can easily be arranged.
Thanks Rebecca!!
