The Hook 'n Line Tournament took place this weekend. It was just perfect weather all weekend and made for a very competitive tournament. I will post the official results as soon as I receive them. However, the winner was Tommy Wong and crew from Great Bay with a 59 1/2 lb. amber jack.

Yesterday was a pretty hot day here and I think there were more folks swimming than there were on the beach!

Due to financial restraints the tournament lost some of the biggest sponsors, however, our local sponsors came through and the fishermen showed a commitment to keeping the tournament going even though the prizes were not as lucrative this year. We commend the sponsors, fishermen, and attendents for their commitment to this wonderful tournament. Each year this tournament provides a great venue for the community to come out and enjoy an afternoon seaside getting reaquainted and seeing old friends. It might have been smaller this year, but the feeling of community is still prevelant and that is what it is all about.

Again, I willl post the official results and the sponsors once I receive them.
