Treasure Beach to Black River is 15 to 18 miles depending on whether you drive newcombevalley or aronnd the police station. The fare is $200...
Treasure beach to Junction is 15 miles,..the fare is $300. Why is that so
Must be all them there hills troubled. Plus the red dirt dirty up the taxi too much.
More up hill...more gas.
Because Junction is uphill so it requires more fuel to get there. Coming down, the brakes get lots of use- wear and tear. Makes sense to me why the higher fare to Junction.
It takes longer to get to Junction than Black River. You can get to Black River in about 30 minutes and Junction is about 40 minutes. So in miles it might be the same, but the road conditions make it a longer (in time) journey.
they just base the price off the fact that they charge a $100 from junction to southfield, $100 from southfield to crossroad and $100 from crossroad to treasure beach. its the most expensive route. there are other areas with hill such as junction to mandeville yet the fare is $ 200
Other things such as supply and demand may be at play here. For example, many more taxis may be on the route from Junction to Mandeville vs Treasure Beach to Junction and is probably based on the passenger demand for either trip.
passenger is totally correct.i grieve for those who travel that route regularly.it burns my heart
Are these fares US or Ja dollars?
It MUST be J's.
