2 Chronicles 7:14
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

Hey! Some of us fans of this site don't care to have any kind of religion interjected in the discussions. How is this allowed, Webmaster? Not everyone's a Christian. Those of us who aren't don't impose our views on the readership of this site.
This is getting fairly offensive to many of us. It is pretty clear Jamaica is a CHRISTIAN country based on the number of churches. I have chosen to stop attending church for personal reasons and I really don't care to keep visiting this site if the talk about religion goes on and on. I respect people's right to believe whatever they want. Please respect my right not to have this site turned into some version of Bible.com.
I have nothing against this sort of interjection. It can be ignored by those uninterested.
As long as the talk comes from the posters own experience. No more seers allowed by the Infinite?
I am Jewish and I am starting to find these discussions somewhat offensive. The last thing I want to feel when I visit Treasure Beach again is that I am viewed as a lesser person than someone of the Christian faith. I am certainly not anti-Christian but I do not feel this is the place for discussions about any religion unless it is a message of universal tolerance and acceptance. This is a community site meant to encourage tourism and it is not a Bible forum.
Actually, as a regular reader of this site, writer's views are often expressed. I dare say that is the purpose of a forum? ie: expressing views on topics?
Why is it that those who are offended by a Bible verse or the beliefs of Christians would consider themselves to be tolerant and open minded?
Isn't it ironic that the world's ''tolerance'' is limited to anything (and everything) BUT Christianity?
I'm not a Christian either NAL, but everyone should be free to express themselves as long as they don't prevent another from doing the same. Let it be.
Yes again NAL!!!You be di man!
I dont see what the problem is. you didnt have to go into the post and read it. No one force you to click. if you are anyone else is not a christian then go pass it. we should be able to post what we want and have the webmaster approve it. if it was offending im sure they wouldnt have post it.
Religon should be a personal thing with an individual and God.
Exactly 'just saying'....the post was specifically addressed to ''Jamaican Christians''.
Interesting that someone who is so opposed to a Christian world view-point, would click on a thread/topic which is so clearly identified!!!
All of our opinions are guided by our beliefs!
''feeling excluded'' speaks of 'universal tolerance'. Perhaps he/she meant to say ''limited tolerance''..as they seem intolerant of Christianity?? The very definition of 'universal tolerance' would be ALL encompassing.
I certainly do not agree with all viewpoints..but I certainly respect all viewpoints!!
Thank you for allowing me to express mine!
Jamaican Christians...please, find it in your daily routine to repeat this verse. "...forgive their sins and restore their land...benifits ALL of Jamaica. That means everyone!
I am shocked at the number of criticism of the leading article, here.Wow humans! How about a little pluralism ? Lets embrace love. I welcome the the thread. We have a choice to read or not read a post.Go to TB irrespective of your beliefs... enjoy the warmth of the community. There are a number of churches in TB and I will vouch for all them, that the only thing they will do is love you; no matter what your religious belief may be.
Nal, {edited by TBNet}. I do not vote either, but I owe it to myself to allow someone to voice an opinion even though I might be in total disagreement. {edited by TBNet}.
Just like we do in TV land..if you don't like it...chaaaange the channel!!!
Its no different for Christians to read the stories that non-christians write. {edited by TBNet}
We're getting a lot of "what about this interpretation" and "what about that interpretation" posts about this subject, and we're just not willing to host a back and forth argument about something so charged.
To those who think that Religion A is evil and have a website to prove it, there is someone to say Religion B is evil with a website to back up their point. There are plenty of other web sites that will allow you talk all day about it. Please take your discussion there.
Therefore we're not going to close this and the other religion threads.
You can say we're being a little inconsistent for allowing some posts like this in another thread and you may be right but what was a discussion has quickly deteriorated to accusations and worse and it's simply gotten to be too much.
