Many who attended the latest assemblage of the Calabash Literary Festival, JUBILATION! 50, celebrating the 50th anniversary of independence, were treated musically to a jaunty stroll down memory lane.
If you are still humming some of the selections weeks later, or experiencing rhythmic body twitches, perhaps you revisted some of the songs in your record collection, which the Calabash Acoustic Ensemble, led by the core of Wayne Armond, Steve Golding, Seretse Small (the guitars)...rounded out with Ibo Cooper (keyboards); Irvin 'Carrot' Jarrett (percussions) and Dale Brown on bass...with special appearances from special singers of differing stripes, Sharon Tucker, Ozzie D & Della Manley.
