Recently there was a post in which Z, Zed, and alter egos were criticized. Since then I haven't heard a peep from "them". I think it is a loss to have that person missing from the board. There were times when they posted things I did not read because I had no interest. Other times, I plodded through the lenthy articles to find the gist. I learnt a lot from that person (assuming there was only one).

I'm surprised you let a little criticism cause you to take your ball and go home Z. Come back in the game and share your thoughts. The same goes for others like Stu Ward and Earl Moxam. I do not mean to sound elitist but you guys definitely brought something to the table.

Sentry, perhaps you can make some more contributions to help fill the gap left by the mentioned persons. The forum could do with a few more interesting inputs from time to time.

But make sure you in turn can deal with the criticisms if/when the usual suspects start coming at you!:-)

I love your spirit though. Who knows; maybe some of the "departed" will eventually return.

There is much to learn from Zed's posts, I hope they will continue.

Every time I post, I reflect: am I posting too much? My name appears so many times on the forum; it must look like boastiness or some kind of verbal arrogance. Always have the last word. Will not let anything go*.....what else....I agree with Back a Yard, criticism can only help. Even thoughtless feedback has a message, if one can dig it out.

Well Wisher, I was the kid who sat at the back of the class and never raised my hand. Took plenty of notes though. So it is with me now. Two ears and one mouth: twice the listening vs talking.

I have had a criticism or two shot across my prow at times, but my contributions have been pedestrian compared to others. For example, I ask the same question every year around this time: "are there any plans to finish the canal"?? Mundane stuff like that which usually gets a collective yawn. yes when will it be finished, probably never. What a shame that out of many nothing getting done. Kill the reef and thus kill your selves and kill the future. Now that's progress. I know, such rudeness but not as rude as doing nothing. Come on already.
