the pizza @ Jack Sprat is not as good as it used to be. the dough is much too thick and there is too much cheese on it. I remember it being better in the past, but well, after a while... things change

We always enjoy Jack Sprat. I do hope they have stopped putting chicken soup into the fish soup.

The restaurant business is difficult. For a place to maintain its reputation there must be constant monitoring by management. If not, shortcuts are taken or the staff gets lazy. Maybe some people were not trained properly because if they were aware people didn't like the pizza as much as they used to, they would change how they made it back to the old way. The people who work there try but they need guidance. Never get too complacent because the public finds out and then they may go elsewhere.

Some organisations pay big for feedback. Here it's free.

Either curse the messenger or thank them for telling their experience and use this info to better the business. If it's relevant.

Na na na naa na...is pickney business.

theres no doubt that those pple are very hardworking and the restaurant being open constantly is very appreciated. It is perhaps just bec nobody there tastes the pizza themselves ? Pizza is only good, if the dough is really, really thin and crusty, and as I said before... less cheese.

As this thread is here I will share my experience.I really did not want to mention it here.Since I had called the Manager of Jack Sprat to complain and he only said "i'm not at work".I've also e-mailed Jakes and got no response,I will share.
In January of this year I went to Jack Sprat to buy to go food.I placed my order, paid for the food and was waiting to be served.
About 45 minutes passed and I noticed customers walking in and getting served.
I asked one of the employees what about my order? That's when she said "you didn't order anything nor have you paid"I explained to her that even when I ordered she informed me she did not serve that size to go,and I ask for two of the size she served..Long story short,I could not get help and had to leave my money and my order cause everyone was looking at me as if I was lying.I went home, got the managers phone number and called,NO HELP.I started calling a couple people who I know work there, but was not at work at the time. One of the person's I called took it on her to investigate and that's when she was told the person that took the order went to lunch and did not inform the other employees about the order..The funny thing is, when the first employee I asked about the order, she said it wasn't her.I ask her could you check the others in the back to see who might have taken the order, she never return with an answer. This is a place I go everytime i'm in Jamaica, always take some community kids with me for pizza and ice cream, never had a problem until then and what's worse is I complained and got no help!HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?

And I love a thick crust and lots and lots of cheese, Pizza Eater. So I guess it is up to the consumer as to what you like.

I have had bad experiences at Jack Sprat number one the staff does not cater to the locals as they do to the overseers. Sometimes they are friendly and another time the act as if you are not standing in front of them. That is reason I prefer to driver to Little Ochi where everyone is treated like king and queen. As for the Pizza when they first started doing it, it was so delicious but after awhile the taste started going down hill. I think that they need to put greater pride into there work and remember that if we don't eat there then they dot have a job. Mr. Hanzel please keep a keener eye on Jack Sprat because sooner than later the Jack is going to leave the Sprat behind and don't think it cant happen.

For what it's worth, pizza in Italy ranges from thin to thick crusts. Up north near Venice the crusts are pretty thin. They are still on the thin side when you get down to the Tuscany region. By the time you reach Rome in the south they are thick. Different restaurants outside Italy choose to make pizza in a particular way with thin crust being no better than thick or the other way around. The type of crust pizza eaters prefer depends only upon personal preference. And again, for what it's worth, people in NY never cut their pizza but they pick it up and bend it lengthwise so nothing falls off.

Getting to Jack Sprat, I have eaten there over the years and I would agree the quality is going downhill. For one, I don't care about the thickness of the crust but I do care about the amount of toppings and the taste.

maybe your taste buds have changed "pizza eater" i recently spent six weeks in treasure beach and my partner and i ate pizza there and had pizza delivery several times a week and we love the pizzas , the service was always fast and we couldn't complain!
it does seem like lost got a raw deal and it should have been dealt with more sympathetically. a refund and free pizza as an apology......
