Arranging something like a reunion must be huge amounts of work. I believe the writer should contact Zane and Earl directly and personally to see if they have the time and interest to take on this sort of endeavour. I also believe the writer should pitch in to the effort, not merely attend.

Event planners, it would be good if there are some past who are in this field and could volunteer some time.

This is an event I would definitely like to be a part of and I am certain there are many other past students who think the same way. I am willing to be a part of the planning committee.

Miss Zane, i was thinking that your hands might be full being a principal, you should have a lot to offer with all your planning experiences as a principal.

A Sandy Bank school reunion would essentially be a Treasure Beach reunion.

Particularly in the context of Jamaica's 50th anniversary celebrations therefore this would be as good an occasion as ever to stage a meaningful event or series of events; out of which, apart from having fun, lasting contributions could be made to relevant institutions such as the primary school and the basic school which helped to shape the lives of most of the residents of the community or which, at the very least, provided the settings in which lifelong friendships were formed.

So, there is indeed an opportunity to sit down and come up with a credible plan; one which combines the joy of a reunion with some material benefit to the school/s.

But, as always with these things, the question of who will take the lead is important. Will the person who made the suggestion in the first place also make himself/herself available to be part of the planning and execution of such a venture?

So, nice idea but challenging to execute properly. As for me; I'd gladly make myself available to do what I can but not to be a lead actor in the process.
