For canker sores if you can get ground goldenseal
root and sprinkle the powder on it it cures it fast. Don't know about any other mouth sores but can vouch for it working on canker sore.

A good medicine for you to look for or possibly grow as the climate is perfect would be stevia.

Oldtimers used to refer to Love Bush (Vervain)... apparently, the pharmaceutical properties of its tannins makes it an effective astringent and useful as a mouthwash to treat bleeding gums and mouth ulcers.
As a mouthwash, an infusion prepared with vervain aerial parts may also be used as a mouthwash to treat ulcers in the mouth and soft, spongy gums.
There are also some aphrodisiac properties that might be applied as healing progresses.
(Obviously, consult your reliable bush doctor or formally licensed pharmacist, at your own trust level & discretion).

Maybe you should go to the doctor to find out what the sore in your mouth really is...

please note, the person had first mentioned that they took prescription medication, that means the person went to a doctor.

OBVIOUS, just because someone took prescription medication does not mean they went to a doctor! I can pull some meds out of granny's cabinet tonight and swallow them,,,does that mean I went to a doctor? {edited by TBNet}

'Glenn' when someone said they took prescription medication and it doesn't seems to help, i am sure anyone would come to the conclusion that the medication was prescribe for that individual.

OBVIOUS...let's say I was depressed..and my sister had a perscription for Prozac. I popped a few of them. They did not work. So I posted on a website, such as this:
"Does anyone know of any local herb/bush that can help with depression, prescriptions medications doesn't seem to help."
Do not assume that if someone has taken a perscribed medecine that it belongs to them. Also have you noticed that herbs/bush has not responded lately? either she is real busy or she solved her problem... Without a prescription!

'Glenn' I am not assuming anything, I do believe that there are persons who will take someone else prescribed medication, I do not believe that person would come on this forum and say the medication did not help their problem.
