The Photographer Tomasz Lazar Reflects on the Work of Two Masterful Photo Artist-Documentarians:

I don’t want to think about technique, because technique blocks your mind. The best way is to be open — to feel the atmosphere of the street or the place where you are; to connect to the people.
I saw Bruce Davidson lecturing about “Subway.” Someone asked him, “What do you think about what Robert Capa said, that if your picture is not good enough, you are not close enough?”
He said that it’s very important to be close in a mental way. Because if you are close mentally, the pictures are very personal. Many times it’s better to show emotions than beautiful composition.

UN-POSED:
"... has been brought to life in 2011. The group consists of photographers specializing in unposed, non-studio photography also known as "street", which is classified as a type of documentary photography. It is also identified as an artistic method that is based on capturing details of situations and events occurring in public that go unnoticed by the social majority.

Before our group became personally acquainted, we have been in contact, thus familiar with each other's photography, which has been a mutual inspiration. As time passed, we have decided to join forces and create something together – to present our own projects and work of well-known and most influential Polish pioneers of this photographic genre. We aim to shape the artistic conscience of the audience in Poland as well as promote the achievements of Polish street photographers abroad."
